God is always faithful.
What a crazy time it’s been! As you know I'm sure, I got hitched May 23rd, 2008. Greatest day of my life. I'm now married to the most amazing woman I've ever met. I couldn't be happier. Yes... I do know I'm only 20 years old.
After getting married my wife and I moved to the furnace of Atlanta Georgia where we sweated and sweated and sweated some more. Great weight loss program. Needless to say I appreciate the north more than ever now! Despite the miserable heat I know I was here for a reason. We came down as temporary interns to get a feel for the ministry to see if we wanted to stay. God quickly made it very clear that we were supposed to be here. Three weeks after we started our internship the children’s pastor here was let go from his position. Hmmmmm a position that needs filled... Lets ask the new kids! We decided that we were going to take the job as a temporary, fill the need kinda thing until God brought in the next person to take the job. We never had any desire AT ALL to do children’s ministry. Our only desire was to please the Father. God gave us vision for the children’s ministry and we began running with it. We built so many relationships, made new friends, and learned TONS UPON TONS of lessons. I would not trade the time I've spent here for anything in the world. I've seen the face of God in places most Christians wouldn't go anywhere near. I've seen changed lives and lives that need changed. I've seen faith where there is no faithfulness. I've seen hope where there is only hopelessness. I've seen love in the midst of hatred. I've come to know my Father deeper than I ever imagined. He has truly sustained me the past few months. It's a dangerous thing to ask God to break your heart with the things that break his. God has a soft heart. As humans we're taught that a soft heart is a week heart. This couldn't be more wrong. Micah 6:8 says,
"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Wow... what a command. Guess we should do what it says!
Aside from all that... We're now moving home. I know... we're insane. You don't have to remind me. We've got a couple more weeks here before the long trek back to the cooler north! Booyah!!! I can't wait to be back in fall weather. We have no clue what God has next for us. We just know this chapter of our lives is ending. I look forward to seeing all of you in Cincinnati. I miss you so much. If you only knew. I can't wait to just be able to spend time with my Wife and build that relationship more and more solid. I can't wait to spend time with family and friends. So come see me!

:) i love you
Austin,
My gosh man, you have really set the bar high for the rest of us ha. Honestly dude, I couldn't be more happy for you and Sarah and now that you're moving back to Cinci, I feel that you two will have such a better opportunity to serve each other. I feel like God gave you a big test right from the start, almost 'testing your waters', to see how you would react to moving and practicing different styles of ministry and such. It's quite often that alot of us pull a 'jonah' and run from what God has, but you faced it and I look up to you alot for that man. Anyway, miss you. Hope you come home soon and I can't wait to see where God leads you two next :) Much love. -Joshy
